I think the change in concept is being implemented in stages. The Sungei Wang store has been upgraded and currently the Delifrance in One Utama is being renovated. Basically what they've done is to cut down on the amount and variety of bread that you can buy off counter opting instead for a more dine-in feel. Unfortunately the kaya and garlic butter french loaf which I really liked seems to be gone. However the menu they have now is quite impressive. Do check it out if you have the time.
They have some daily pasta sets which gives you a pasta (either spaghetti or fettucine) with a choice of either one of two choices for the day plus a soup of the day. Sandwich sets are also available which is great because I love my Delifrance egg croissant.

Hey! I did a review on Delifrance in my blog recently too! Did you guys get the free Crepe Suzette? They're having a free dessert with every main meal promo. Next time, do try the lamb shank, it's delicious!

The franchise here is slow. The one in Singapore transformed itself into a cafe in Aug 2005 (earlier I suspect) serving breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes to sit-down customers.
Hopefully some of the dishes will taste better than what I ordered when I was there.

I didn;t see that pasta with green curry - must have been a special. I had the pasta paloma last week which was pretty ok. Took me a while to get used to their new system.

Went to the "new" delifrance in 1u and it had bad service. So much so that my main came 40 mins before my appetizer and some of the food didnt' even show up. WTF!!! and desert came wayyy late. Even the free crepes did not make me smile. Oh yes... dont' ever eat the carbonara. Its nasty! So much for a chefs recommendation - I reckon the chef needs recommendation to get a new improved recipe. Getting a bottle of carbonara sauce from Jusco would have been more worth it!

dream: hehe... well I think I'm gonna avoid Delifrance in 1U.
