Well I left Tokuii based on one simple reason alone. The money is better in my current job. Plus if you look at my track record you'll see that I tend not to stay in one place for too long although it looks like I'm going to be stuck in CyberJaya for some time still.

While the truth is that there are many things to dislike about Tokuii I must also mention that there are many positives as well. I have no intention to go bashing any of my previous employers so I'll forgo mentioning the negatives.

Tokuii is a great place to meet great people. I have never felt as comfortable in a working environment than I have been in Tokuii. I cherish the friendships made there and till this day I keep regular contact with many Tokuii alumni.

The work is technically challenging. Tokuii's emphasis on Open Source technologies is a definite plus point in my book. However be prepared to put in a lot of effort to learn them all. I can guarantee you that you're going to have a tough time.

Have you seen the Tokuii app? It's super pretty. This app makes a first impression that you will never forget. An enterprise app running on Flash... not the most original idea ever but the execution is nifty.

I have absolutely no idea what the current state of the company is. I hope they're still chugging along fighting the good fight. While I have left Tokuii... I find I cannot forget Tokuii.
