US Presidential Election... Bush will win

The election results are not out yet but Republican presidential candidate George W. Bush is definitely leading the Democratic presidential candidate Senator John Kerry. As of the time of this writing the electoral college votes are slightly in favour of the person we affectionally call Dubya. The fight rests on the state of Ohio. From the looks of things Bush will likely win that state.

Anyways, according to CNN Bush won the popular vote by a margin of 3.7 million. This will not be like the 2000 elections. A win for Bush in this election will not be a controversial win. Congratulations to the millions of Americans who voted for George W. Bush in this election. For better or for worse he now has another 4 year term as the "leader of the free world" (funny how I was never given the chance to elect him since I am a member of the free world after all).

While I dare say that most people outside of the US wanted Kerry to win (including myself), it is no far stretch to say that most people only want Kerry to win because he is not Bush. Admittedly, this is never a good reason to elect a President in any country.

Small update: Bush has indeed won.
