Signal Lancer, TRANSFORM!

I've just finished watching the latest Transformers series titled Transformers: Galaxy Force. Part of the story involves Transformers transplanting themselves on Earth and taking varied guises. There are two particularly odd Transformers who appear in the series on and off. One of them is a signal light and the other is a pay phone. Both of them are stationed in the middle of the desert. You NEVER see them transform until the final episode where the signal light Transformer does and it's frickin hillarious. Man if they had a toy of this I would buy one.

Presenting, Signal Lancer:

A box that could transform to a robot? How imaginative!

If Transformer were drawn by Malaysian, we would have portable dirty public toilet that could transform into corrupted government official!

You have to remember that this is a joke character. All the other Transformer characters are "normal" - ie: big trucks and futuristic jets and vicious animals and such.

But every now and then, throughout the series, there are this phone booth and traffic light that are talking to each other. You kind of keep forgetting about them, then they show up, and just when the show is almost over, and nobody has transformed for the whole episode (at least not in a big flashy transform sequence), and you're certainly not thinking of these characters, they show up... AND one of them transforms. And they do it in the big flashy way. And you realise that they actually bothered to animate a full transform for this character, when it's really only a one-shot, never seen before, never to be seen again. And you laugh. And it also gives you some closure on those two strange characters.

There isn't even a toy of Signal Lancer.

BTW, there is an English language version of this clip, from the Cybertron series (the Japanese version is called Galaxy Force).
