I don't think it was very widely reported but for a few hours on Friday evening our beloved capitol city Kuala Lumpur became a little like Venice in Italy. I took this scene right outside my office. It was terrible. The water level kept rising. My workplace was in danger of getting flooded. In fact we evacuated all the computers on the ground floor to the higher floors. I heard the Putra LRT service was shut down. Strangely there was absolutely no warning when the Klang river burst its banks. According to my Project Manager the last time KL was seriously flooded she could hear the sound of sirens blaring through the evening.

Awas, jangan terpijak lubang (Careful, don't step into any holes)!
